JQ aka Jonny Quest has been a DJ for nearly 2 decades and started writing/producing music around the turn of the century. He has played hundreds of events since the 90's - From coast to coast and Canada to Mexico. From smaller, more intimate underground desert parties in the Mojave and Anza-Borrego deserts to massive venues like Root Society at Burning Man, Street Scene SD and some of the biggest and best clubs in southern California. During his voyage through the astral plane, JQ has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some of the most respected names in electronic music - BT, The Crystal Method, Uberzone, Jelo, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, Rabbit in the Moon, Frankie Bones, the Moontribe DJ's, Bassnectar, FreQ Nasty and Terry Mullan to name a few....

Mateo Bambaataa, born Matthew Silva in Escondido, CA, was brought up in Philly from 1979 to 1986 -- formative years where he was exposed to
the early stages of hip hop culture as it filtered south from New York City. He fell in love with the beat and b-boying. His first hands-on
experience with turntables was in the late 80's and learned to mix records with the sounds of Kraftwerk, Afrika Bambaataa, and The
Egyptian Lover.

About 20 years later, after holding down residencies in San Francisco,
Salt Lake City, the midwest, and San Diego, currently at the helm at
the Kava Lounge, he still rocks the classic cuts and new sounds and
rhythms you haven't even heard yet. One of the few remaining all-vinyl
djs in san diego, Mateo works the turntables with finesse,
transitioning seamlessly through endless styles, defying any attempt
to pin him to one genre.
